Cadw Open Doors

Open Doors 2026 at Llandudno Museum & Gallery. Come and explore the fascinating stories of Llandudno’s past with FREE ENTRY as part of Open Doors 2026.

Our six permanent galleries take you from the earliest inhabitants of the area, through the creation of Llandudno as a Victorian seaside resort., to the town’s role as a safe haven during the Second World War. You can also explore our two temporary exhibitions, Railways of North Wales and 100 Years of Dresses, during your visit.

Discover the two occasions when Llandudno held it’s own Olympic Festival, find out where double agents were housed during WW2, and learn about the early conservationists who campaigned to save the perefrine falcon.

With interactive exhibits and family-friendly displays, Open Doors is a great opportunity to discover some of the hidden heritage of Llandudno in one of the town’s most historic buildings.
