Heading West: The Romans in Wales

by | Apr 10, 2024 | Previous Events, TALKS

Join us for a fascinating talk on Friday the 12th of April by Dr Charo Rovira, Archaeologist and librarian from the Institute of Classical studies in London on The Romans in Wales.
At one point the Roman Empire stretched as far to the east as Babylon and as far south as Egypt.
Come and hear how they fared when they travelled West and got to Wales, the kind of people they were and the objects and stories they brought with them.
This gallery talk will take place at 13.00 in gallery 4 amongst our collections of neolithic, bronze age and Roman displays. Some of which are included in this post, the larger amphora however is far too big to be on display currently!
£5 Per person, includes entry to the museum.
