A lively re-imagining by Jane Hoy and Helen Sandler of Queer Tales from Wales, this is an outdoor interactive performance of the lives of Sarah Ponsonby and Eleanor Butler, two upper-class Irish women who met and formed a lifelong attachment. Ten years later they eloped to Wales, making Plas Newydd their home and becoming known as the Ladies of Llangollen. Come and hear about their life together with their beloved servant Mary Caryll, what their women admirers said about them, and how they survived scurrilous gossip.
This show is suitable for all ages.
