Biodiversity Garden, Future Field Club & Outdoor Activities

If you prefer outdoor activities, we have plenty for you to enjoy. The Biodiversity Garden will help you recognise and love your native plants. The Future Field Club encourages young people to help protect local plant and animal species and their habitats. Or you can enjoy a range of guided and self-guided history walks for all ages around the Llandudno area.

BIODIVERSITY GARDEN

Llandudno Museum’s Biodiversity Garden is here to help you recognise and love your native plants and wildlife.

Llandudno Museum’s Biodiversity Garden is here to help you recognise and love your native plants and wildlife. WildlifeTrusts.org says: “Our gardens are a vital resource for wildlife, providing corridors of green space between open countryside, allowing species to move about. In fact, the UK’s gardens provide more space for nature than all the National Nature Reserves put together.” By working with our native plants, we can create a garden that is a haven to ourselves and to native wildlife. Natural ecosystems have a wide diversity of plants, birds, animals, and organisms. Biodiversity gardening is choosing to grow local plants that encourage local bugs, birds, and mammals to choose our garden as a home.

We offer a range of classes, biodiversity walks, and conservation information. Our Biodiversity Garden features a green grow pod so that you can sit and be surrounded by plants, a butterfly garden, a chill out zone, and information about how to transform your own garden into a biodiversity garden.
